Kenya institutes stringent rules to safeguard integrity of cricket

Cricket Kenya has introduced stricter integrity regulations aimed at protecting the sport from corruption, match fixing, and unauthorized competitions. Under the new rules, organizers of local cricket tournaments must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Cricket Kenya before staging events. The governing body says the measures are designed to ensure proper oversight, transparency, and compliance with both national and International Cricket Council (ICC) integrity standards. Tournament organizers, players, officials, and other stakeholders will be required to follow anti corruption and governance requirements intended to safeguard the credibility of cricket in the country. The move comes amid growing global concerns about integrity risks in associate cricket nations and seeks to strengthen confidence in Kenyan cricket’s administration and competitions.
